Role overview
This is a permanent, office-based CAD Technician position in Leeds, LS25, offering an annual salary of GBP 30,000 to GBP 35,000. The role is suited to a precise CAD professional who is comfortable in a busy project setting and able to balance several deadlines at once.
Working pattern
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. The role is based onsite, with the location commutable from Selby, York, Leeds, Castleford, Pontefract, Garforth, Wetherby, or Tadcaster.
Key responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review project briefs and turn them into accurate CAD outputs.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and project teams to meet delivery needs.
- Amend drawings when feedback or project updates require changes.
- Keep drawing records and technical files well organised and up to date.
- Make sure all outputs align with company standards and technical specifications.
- Contribute ideas that help improve CAD workflows and working practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on professional experience using AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of technical drawing methods and principles.
- Strong focus on accuracy and fine detail.
- Ability to handle several projects and meet short deadlines.
- Well-developed organisational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
