Role Overview
The Business Development Representative will focus on creating and qualifying new sales opportunities in Saudi Arabia for the broader sales organization. This role centers on identifying decision-makers, using thoughtful outreach to engage prospects, and clearly communicating Checkout.com’s value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop new business opportunities with high-potential prospects and partners in Saudi Arabia.
- Present payment solutions and related services to eCommerce and fintech businesses.
- Build polished presentations and proposals for senior executives and support effective negotiation approaches.
- Develop deep knowledge of the company’s technology stack and explain how it addresses merchant challenges.
- Manage the lead-generation process, create a sense of urgency, and serve as a primary contact for both prospects and internal teams.
- Keep a structured portfolio and strengthen important accounts through a strong understanding of their market, pain points, and goals.
- Work closely with the sales team to exchange best practices, commercial insights, and market trends.
- Represent the company at local in-person events.
- Share feedback on local market conditions, competitor activity, customer requirements, and information relevant to sales, product, and marketing.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of B2B fintech sales experience, preferably within the payments space in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong English and Arabic communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated history of strong performance and results.
- Self-driven, growth-oriented, and committed to learning and development.
- Comfortable learning new concepts quickly and staying curious.
- Technically comfortable with a genuine interest in fintech and payments.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to negotiate complex deals.
- Collaborative, receptive to coaching, and effective in a team setting.
- Well organized and able to manage changing priorities and workload.
