About the Role
Sadie is seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to accelerate customer acquisition and revenue growth in the Australian restaurant market. Reporting to the Country Manager, this person will focus on finding, approaching, and converting restaurant operators ranging from independent venues to growing multi-site groups into Sadie customers.
This is one of the first local market hires, offering the opportunity to help shape the sales approach in Australia while gaining practical experience selling advanced voice AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through email outreach, phone calls, social selling, and follow-up on inbound interest.
- Run product demonstrations and consultative sales conversations to communicate Sadie’s value to restaurant owners and decision-makers.
- Manage the sales pipeline in tools such as HubSpot, keep records accurate, and monitor progress against monthly goals.
- Develop territory plans by spotting high-potential regions and segments, then supporting targeted outreach efforts.
- Partner with the Country Manager and sales team to sharpen messaging, streamline sales processes, and move opportunities toward close.
- Gather market and customer feedback from prospects to help improve the product and strengthen market fit.
- Represent the company at hospitality events and networking activities to raise awareness and build credibility in the local market.
What You Bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in SaaS, restaurant technology, or hospitality-related services.
- Genuine interest in technology, hospitality, and the ways AI can improve business performance.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
- A proactive, self-driven, hunter-style sales approach with comfort around cold outreach and pursuing large accounts.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several opportunities at the same time.
- Experience using CRMs, especially HubSpot, along with sales enablement tools, is advantageous.
- Prior relationships or a network within the Australian restaurant industry would be a plus.
