Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Ahmedabad is for a Barista who can craft and serve hot and cold coffee drinks, teas, and other café offerings in line with LOKO’s recipes and presentation guidelines. The role involves handling customer orders, working with coffee equipment, processing payments, keeping the counter and workspace clean, and replenishing supplies. The Barista will also interact with guests courteously, explain menu items, suggest options, and help maintain smooth day-to-day café operations.

Key Duties

• Prepare a range of coffee-based beverages, teas, and other café items following brand recipes and standards.
• Take customer orders accurately and manage both cash and digital payment transactions.
• Use coffee machines and related equipment safely and effectively.
• Keep the work area neat, organized, and hygienic throughout the shift.
• Monitor stock levels and restock ingredients and supplies when needed.
• Welcome guests in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
• Respond to menu queries and offer appropriate product suggestions.
• Assist with opening and closing routines and support overall store operations.
• Follow food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene practices at all times.
• Work closely with teammates to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications and Working Expectations

• Hands-on barista knowledge, including espresso drink preparation, brewing methods, and familiarity with coffee types.
• Good customer service and interpersonal abilities to create a welcoming environment.
• Clear communication skills for order-taking, product explanation, and team coordination.
• Basic food preparation understanding with strong attention to hygiene and quality.
• Availability to work full time on-site in Ahmedabad, including weekends, evenings, and holidays when required.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable in a busy setting with long periods of standing.
• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is an advantage, though not required because training may be offered.
• Basic numerical ability and familiarity with point-of-sale handling.
