Role overview

This position blends retail operations, commercial thinking, visual presentation, and team leadership. The Assistant Manager is expected to help deliver strong sales performance by reviewing business results and ensuring customers receive an excellent in-store experience.

The role covers the smooth running of the store each day, including opening and closing tasks, process efficiency, and overall floor and stockroom execution. It also involves using product expertise and styling awareness to support merchandising and store presentation. In addition, the role plays a key part in people development through hiring support, training, engagement, and ongoing coaching.

Key duties

• Carry out store opening and closing procedures.
• Oversee the sales floor and stockroom to maintain strong service standards and smooth operations.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and payroll-related processes.

• Use product knowledge and brand understanding to support sales growth.
• Create and maintain attractive visual merchandising displays.
• Review business reports and use the insights to guide decisions.
• Safeguard store assets and support inventory control.
• Handle register and point-of-sale systems.
