Role overview
At Porsche Retail Group, this entry-level Assistant Retail Business Analyst position focuses on converting retail performance data into practical business insight. The role supports analysis across the retail network and is a strong starting point for someone looking to build a career in motor retail analytics, working with commercial, aftersales, and customer-related information to help improve day-to-day performance.
What you will do
- Contribute to insight work covering sales, aftersales, and finance & insurance performance.
- Monitor key measures such as sales volume, gross margin, stock position, and conversion rates.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentation materials for internal stakeholders.
- Identify trends, risks, and business opportunities emerging from performance data.
- Partner with senior analysts and managers to understand what is driving results.
- Support stock reviews, ageing analysis, and actions to improve inventory control.
- Assist in reviewing enquiry activity, conversion outcomes, and customer behaviour.
- Help with budgeting, forecasting, and progress tracking against targets.
- Maintain data accuracy across systems, reports, and information flows.
- Support issue resolution, reporting updates, testing, documentation, and ad hoc analysis.
Requirements
- A degree, AAT qualification, or an equivalent academic background.
- Strong attention to detail with a clear commitment to accurate data handling.
- Good Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables; knowledge of Power BI or coding would be an advantage.
- Genuine interest in data analysis and commercial performance.
- Willingness to work towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualifications.
- Interest in the automotive industry or broader retail sector.
- Self-driven attitude and readiness to develop in a fast-moving environment.

Work location and centre facilities
The role is based at Porsche Retail Group Head Office, at the home of Porsche Cars GB. The site is conveniently situated just off junction 12 of the M4 and is close to a retail park, gym, petrol station, and major furniture retailers. Staff can also use a heavily subsidised restaurant with breakfast and lunch options, a barista bar, and free on-site parking.
