Role overview

The Accountant will support core accounting operations, ensure transaction accuracy, and help maintain clean financial records. This role also involves closing activities, reconciliations, audit coordination, and compliance with company accounting practices.

Key responsibilities

• Record revenue-related accounting entries accurately and on time.
• Prepare, check, and close the cash book as part of monthly accounting activities.
• Reconcile accounts and verify that financial records remain accurate.
• Draft audit schedules and work with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Review payment entries, back-up documents, and accounting records for correctness.
• Keep accounting data current and aligned with company procedures.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing tasks.
• Spot mismatches in records and work toward resolving accounting issues.
• Follow accounting standards and internal policy requirements.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts and reconciliation methods.
• Practical exposure to month-end closing work.
• Comfortable using MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas.
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime and ERP-based systems.
• Strong analytical ability with close attention to detail.
• Ability to handle financial data accurately and confidentially.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open only to candidates who have at least 1 year of experience and are based in Pune.

Compensation and terms

Estimated pay range: INR 2,00,000 to 13,00,000 per year. There are 2 openings. The role is full-time and onsite in Pune, Maharashtra. The candidate is expected to join immediately.
