Vulnerability Management Specialist

Role overview

CyberTimes is looking for a Vulnerability Management Specialist who can independently handle vulnerability discovery, evaluation, and remediation tracking. The role calls for practical experience with vulnerability tools, together with the ability to configure, deploy, and run those platforms effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Find, evaluate, and rank security weaknesses across applications and infrastructure based on business and technical risk.
• Carry out recurring vulnerability scans and exposure reviews.
• Review scan output to filter out false alarms and determine the real severity of each issue.
• Rate vulnerabilities using CVSS scoring, exploitability context, and current threat intelligence.
• Own the full vulnerability management process from initial discovery through remediation and closure.
• Re-test and verify fixes to ensure the risk has been properly addressed.

Required background

• Between 3 and 7 years of practical experience in vulnerability management.
• Hands-on capability with deploying and configuring vulnerability management tools.
• Direct experience using Invicti for web application vulnerability testing.
• About 1 to 2 years of experience working with Qualys in deployment and operations.
• Good understanding of web application security issues, especially the OWASP Top 10.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking, and core security concepts.
