Role overview
Catalyx is looking for a Training Coordinator to build, organise, and run engaging learning programmes at its customer site in Longford. The role is focused on strengthening employee capability, improving operational performance, and supporting a safe working environment.
The successful candidate should bring hands-on experience in training coordination and programme design, along with strong communication and organisational ability. A solid working knowledge of health and safety expectations in operational, engineering, construction, or manufacturing settings is also important.

Responsibilities
- Work with subject matter experts to develop training content covering operational, technical, and safety needs.
- Support adherence to Irish health and safety laws and internal safety procedures.
- Help prepare training evidence for audits, inspections, accreditation activities, and ISO-based management systems where relevant.
- Encourage a strong safety mindset by building employee awareness of health, safety, and environmental duties.
- Develop interactive material for classroom, hands-on, and digital learning formats.
- Make sure training resources reflect company goals, values, and regulatory obligations.
- Organise and coordinate learning programmes for employees, contractors, and external partners.
- Handle the practical side of training delivery, including scheduling, resources, room setup, records, and attendee registration.
- Run training sessions for individuals and groups using practical and engaging delivery methods.
- Support employees after training so they can apply what they learned in daily work.
- Serve as the main contact for training questions and support needs.
- Keep training matrices, competence records, certifications, and compliance files accurate and current.
- Track mandatory learning requirements and ensure completion remains current.
- Measure training impact through feedback, assessments, competency checks, and performance data.
- Review and improve training materials, delivery methods, and learning tools based on feedback and business needs.
- Maintain training documentation to support company standards and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- A qualification in Training Development, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Business, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of experience in training coordination, learning and development, technical training, or a comparable role.
- Prior experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, utilities, or another operational environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and workplace compliance expectations.
- Proven experience in designing, organising, and delivering training programmes.
- Strong planning and project management ability, with the capacity to balance several priorities at once.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with different stakeholders.
