About the role

Gympie Regional Council is looking for a Team Member Grading Level 5 to join a multi-skilled crew delivering construction and maintenance works across council infrastructure. The role involves labouring duties, operating plant and machinery, and driving trucks as part of a team working to recognised standards.

What the position involves

  • Carry out medium-complexity plant and equipment operation safely, efficiently, and competently.
  • Support council’s work program through a mix of labouring, plant operation, and truck driving tasks.
  • Assist with road construction and maintenance activities, including related infrastructure works.
  • Use sound judgement to help improve work methods and support continuous improvement.
  • Work both independently and cooperatively with other council teams.

Essential knowledge and skills

  • Proven ability to operate specialised plant, vehicles, equipment, and tools confidently.
