Subject Matter Expert (Technology)

Role overview

The Technology Subject Matter Expert will shape engaging e-learning material focused on technology tools that are useful for teachers. This position will also support the creation of digital frameworks that help schools use technology effectively in the classroom. A key part of the job is to develop courses and short videos that show how digital pedagogy, subject-based digital tools, and Artificial Intelligence can be applied in day-to-day teaching. The role also includes conducting webinars and working closely with educators and other stakeholders to strengthen teacher capability and promote practical, classroom-ready technology use.

Key responsibilities

• Build instructor-led training modules on educational technology, digital tools, subject-specific resources, and AI-led classroom integration.
• Develop learning materials that make it easier for teachers to apply technology in real classroom settings.
• Create course content and short-form video lessons that demonstrate how technology can improve teaching and learning.
• Organize and deliver online and in-person professional learning sessions for teachers on technology, AI, and digital pedagogy.
• Help design, refine, and strengthen digital learning frameworks and content plans.

Qualifications

• A postgraduate qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• B.Ed. or an equivalent education qualification.
• Additional training or certifications in digital pedagogy, educational technology, or AI in education will be considered an advantage.

Experience required

• Overall professional experience of 8 to 12 years.
• At least 3 to 4 years of school teaching experience.
• Experience creating instructor-led training content for teachers.
• Practical use of educational technology, digital tools, subject resources, and digital platforms in classroom teaching.
• Exposure to using artificial intelligence to improve teaching and learning.
• Experience designing and delivering both virtual and face-to-face professional development programs for teachers, educators, or academic leaders.
• Strong knowledge of the Indian school environment, including curriculum structures, teacher requirements, and regional, linguistic, and socio-economic diversity.
• Familiarity with digital editing tools and YouTube-based content workflows.
