About the Role
Della Townships is looking for a disciplined and hands-on Site Supervisor to manage daily construction operations at project locations. This position focuses on keeping civil work on track, maintaining workmanship quality, monitoring team output, and working closely with contractors to support on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution and Supervision
- Oversee day-to-day construction work and make sure activities follow the approved drawings and project specifications.
- Track the status of civil, structural, and finishing work at the site.
- Use labour, materials, and equipment efficiently to avoid delays and waste.
- Work in coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to keep execution running smoothly.
Quality Control
- Check ongoing work regularly to confirm it meets the required quality and construction standards.
- Spot defects or deviations and ensure they are corrected without delay.
- Keep workmanship standards high through every stage of construction.
Workforce Management
- Manage labour and contractor teams on site.
- Record daily attendance and track productivity levels.
- Ensure work progresses according to the planned schedule and milestones.
Material and Resource Monitoring
- Monitor delivery, storage, and consumption of construction materials.
- Liaise with stores and procurement teams so materials are available when needed.
- Reduce material wastage and maintain good housekeeping at the site.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow and enforce site safety procedures as well as company rules.
- Carry out routine safety inspections and encourage safe work habits.
- Immediately report any unsafe situation or incident.
Reporting and Documentation
- Keep daily progress logs and site documentation updated.
- Escalate issues, delays, and manpower/material requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
- Support measurement and verification of completed work.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of construction techniques, drawings, materials, and site operations. The role also calls for the ability to handle labour teams and coordinate effectively with contractors. A working understanding of safety requirements and quality processes is important.
Qualification and Experience
A Diploma in Civil Engineering or an ITI in Civil Construction is preferred. Candidates with relevant practical experience may also be considered in place of formal qualification. The required experience range is 3 to 8 years in residential, commercial, township, villa, or high-rise construction projects.
Reporting and Travel
This role reports to the HOD. Travel is required for the position.
