Site Engineer

The company places a strong emphasis on hiring experienced, motivated people who align with its values and team culture. With several projects scheduled to begin in the near future, they are looking for a Setting Out Engineer to join the site team.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and plans before and during work on site.
• Carry out setting out for reinforced concrete structures, steel frame buildings, piling, drainage, groundworks, and related works.
• Oversee subcontractors and help ensure health and safety standards are followed.
• Report progress and issues to the Site Manager or Senior Engineer, while coordinating with subcontractors, engineers, and the wider workforce.
• Handle technical questions and resolve site-related queries where needed.
• Perform quality inspections and support quality control processes.
• Maintain site records accurately and keep documentation up to date.
• Complete general administrative tasks linked to the role.
• Take on additional duties and project tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A third-level degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in setting out.
• Practical experience using robotic total stations and levelling equipment.
• Strong precision and a very high level of attention to detail.
• Good digital construction capability and solid IT skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management abilities.
• Strong analytical thinking and proven problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• A professional approach that is honest, flexible, dependable, enthusiastic, and hardworking.

Additional Information

This is a site-based position in Dublin 6. An immediate start is required. Salary is dependent on experience.
