Senior Software Developer - Desktop

Role overview

This position is for a senior desktop software engineer who will build cross-platform applications in C++. The role is suited to professionals with 6 to 10 years of experience and a strong background in system-level programming, low-latency engineering, and scalable application architecture.

What you will do

• Design and implement cross-platform desktop software using C++.
• Apply data structures and algorithms to build efficient and well-structured systems.
• Improve application speed, security, and memory usage through careful optimization.
• Build backend connections using microservices-based architecture, APIs, and socket.io.
• Work with MongoDB to manage data and improve handling efficiency.
• Use message queues, caching, and similar performance techniques to strengthen application responsiveness.
• Maintain high code standards by participating in reviews and following secure, maintainable development practices.

Experience and technical background

• 6 to 10 years of software development experience, including work on desktop and backend systems.
• Strong command over C++ development.
• Working knowledge of microservices, queueing systems, and caching concepts.
• Solid troubleshooting, profiling, and performance-tuning skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving agile environment with attention to scalability and security.

Preferred exposure

• Experience with high-performance multimedia streaming products.
• Familiarity with desktop frameworks such as Tauri or WebView2.
• Exposure to Python and MongoDB.
