About the Role

This opportunity is for an experienced Senior Project Manager with strong delivery expertise in mobile and web applications. The role owns the full lifecycle of customer-facing digital products, guiding work from early concept and design through development, testing, deployment, and release. The goal is to deliver reliable, scalable applications that create a smooth user experience and support business objectives.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to shape and execute digital initiatives. This is a full-time onsite position, with attendance required four to five days each week in Hamilton, Waikato.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct delivery of mobile and web application projects across iOS, Android, and browser-based platforms.
• Work in partnership with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and engineering teams to define features and bring them to market.
• Oversee the full development cycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release coordination.
• Apply Agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban to support regular, timely product delivery.
• Manage application quality, testing, user acceptance activities, and deployment readiness.
• Coordinate improvements, updates, and version launches across multiple platforms.
• Keep control of timelines, budgets, risks, and interdependent workstreams.
• Report progress clearly to stakeholders and convert technical updates into business-focused outcomes.
• Promote ongoing improvement in delivery practices, product quality, user experience, and team productivity.

Skills and Experience

The role calls for a senior project professional with substantial experience leading digital application work and the ability to operate effectively across technical and business teams.

• At least 8 years of project management experience, particularly in mobile and/or web application delivery.
• Proven success launching customer-facing applications or digital products in demanding environments.
• Sound knowledge of iOS and Android ecosystems, web technologies, and API-based integrations.
• Hands-on experience using Agile delivery approaches and product-led development environments.
• Understanding of application release workflows, including App Store and Google Play publishing, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to use delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, or similar are highly regarded.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to align product, technical, and business priorities.
• A practical, user-centred mindset with evidence-based decision-making and a focus on continual improvement.
