Role overview

This opportunity is being shared on behalf of a partner organization that handles the application review and all follow-up steps. The hiring team is seeking a Senior Product QA Tester located in Germany.

In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the quality, usability, and reliability of a rapidly evolving digital product that serves millions of users across Europe. You will work in an iterative, AI-enabled development setup and will manage quality assurance from feature build-out through production release. Your work will go beyond defect logging: you will assess how the product behaves, question user experience choices, and spot business risks early so the product can deliver a stronger end-user experience. You will partner closely with engineering and product leaders, giving organized and practical feedback that supports fast, meaningful improvements. This position suits a self-driven QA expert who works well in dynamic settings, is comfortable with uncertainty, and enjoys shaping product quality throughout the development cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of quality assurance for each release, making sure every feature is carefully checked before it goes live.
• Exercise complete user flows in the web application and look for functional defects, boundary cases, logic gaps, usability issues, and technical or data-related risks.
• Share feedback in a clear, structured, and prioritized way so developers can address problems quickly and raise overall product quality.
• Work closely with engineering leadership during short development cycles and help sharpen features even when requirements are still changing.
• Review product choices through both user and business lenses, and raise concerns when workflows or designs could be improved.
• Help improve QA practices by using AI-based testing tools and encouraging efficient, risk-focused testing methods.

Requirements

• Extensive background in a senior QA or product quality position, with strong independence and ownership across release cycles.
• Regular, hands-on use of AI-assisted development and QA tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or comparable tools for code inspection, debugging, test creation, and root-cause investigation.
• Strong practical experience with browser automation and debugging tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer MCP, Chrome DevTools MCP, or similar browser-level utilities.
• Capability to independently navigate and understand large React and Next.js codebases, spot testing gaps, and suggest improvements.
• Solid product thinking, including the ability to judge commercial impact, user experience, and technical risk beyond basic bug reporting.
• Ease working in a fast-moving environment with partial requirements, continuous iteration, and shifting priorities.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Prior exposure to online marketplaces, complex flows, or consumer-facing products is a plus.
