Role Overview
This position is for a senior backend API developer working as part of a project team to build reliable, high-quality solutions for e-commerce and related digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Contribute within a project team to produce high-quality code within agreed timelines.
- Communicate progress, milestones, and delivery status clearly to project stakeholders.
- Provide realistic estimates for your own tasks and completion schedules.
- Work through technical problems using the available tools and resources, and recommend practical alternatives when needed.
- Develop resilient solutions using the assigned tools and materials, or suggest suitable substitutes where appropriate.
- Support senior or lead developers and step in for them when required.
- Facilitate small technical discussions focused on problem-solving and solution architecture.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to their growth.
- Stay self-driven and proactive in day-to-day work.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience leading backend e-commerce development and implementation work.
- Hands-on exposure to TypeScript and GraphQL integrations.
- Experience conducting code reviews and supporting junior team members.
- Strong background in backend development.
- Solid coding experience in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Working knowledge of data structures.
- Exposure to web technologies.
- Understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Comfort working on Windows or Linux systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
