Senior All-Source Intelligence Analyst

About the Role

TRM Labs develops AI-driven intelligence tools that support public- and private-sector teams in detecting, investigating, and disrupting criminal activity. In this role, you will lead in-region targeting efforts for TRM’s work against crypto-enabled scam networks, collaborating closely with investigators based in Southeast Asia. Your focus will be on combining open-source intelligence, local operational access, and financial intelligence to produce actionable targeting packages on scam compound operators, financial intermediaries, and cyber infrastructure that support large-scale fraud in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end intelligence and OSINT operations against scam infrastructure across Southeast Asia, transforming raw collection into usable targeting intelligence for TRM teams and government partners.
• Map scam compounds using a mix of cell triangulation, IP geolocation, GEOINT, adtech analysis, physical OSINT, on-chain attribution, and commercial datasets to identify operators, controllers, and movement patterns across Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand.
• Process investigative returns at scale and feed victim, operator, and infrastructure data into TRM’s intelligence and product workflows.
• Use a single lead — such as a victim, wallet, device, or compound — to uncover larger criminal networks and expand investigative pathways.
• Work closely with TRM’s Scams SME team, on-chain analysts, and the Washington, D.C.-based targeting cell to convert regional collection and disruption strategy into enforcement-ready targeting packages.

What We’re Looking For

• US citizenship is mandatory, and the role requires either a Bangkok presence or extensive travel across APAC.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience in all-source investigations or targeting, ideally from federal law enforcement, the Intelligence Community, or an equivalent mission-aligned private sector role.
• Proven ability to build targeting packages for intelligence or law enforcement stakeholders and to coordinate small analytic teams or investigative pods in a player-coach capacity.
• Strong investigative background in the Intelligence Community, DoD, federal law enforcement, or a comparable private-sector setting.
• Hands-on OSINT experience involving cell triangulation, IP geolocation, GEOINT, adtech, and infrastructure attribution.
• Demonstrated capability to create operational intelligence products and expand a single lead into broader networks through link and pattern analysis.
• Southeast Asia field experience, especially in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, or Cambodia, is strongly preferred; regional language ability is a major advantage.
• Comfort using AI tools to speed up investigative work, synthesize information, and draft operational outputs.
• Financial crime or crypto knowledge is beneficial but not required.

Team and Working Style

This is a build-from-scratch role where you will help establish TRM’s APAC field presence and targeting capability. You will collaborate closely with TRM’s Primary Intelligence function, which sits inside R&D and supports intelligence product development for government and commercial customers, as well as with the Scams SME team that provides core domain context.

The team works through weekly syncs, daily async updates in Slack, and documented outputs in Notion and TRM’s investigative tools. Work is organized around US Eastern and APAC time-zone overlap, and surge availability is expected during time-sensitive disruption windows.
