About Gradient Labs
Gradient Labs is developing an AI agent designed to transform customer experience and operational efficiency for financial services businesses. Established in 2023, the company has rapidly progressed from concept to a growing customer base that includes well-known brands. Its AI operations agent is purpose-built for financial services and is capable of safely managing complex, high-stakes customer queries. The system also provides a single agent layer across customer operations, helping businesses maintain clear visibility and control over outcomes they can trust.
The team is small, ambitious, and composed of builders with experience at companies such as Monzo, Pleo, and Google. If you want to work on difficult AI problems and help influence the future of customer operations, this opportunity may be a strong fit.
Role overview
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be instrumental in expanding market reach across the Americas and Europe. You will help establish the company’s sales engine by connecting with prospects in financial services and communicating the value of the AI agent through thoughtful, thoroughly researched, and highly tailored outreach.
What you will do
- Work with Enterprise Account Executives to identify and prioritise the most promising target accounts across banking, fintech, lending, and insurance.
- Drive pipeline creation through cold calling, customised email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting aimed at senior decision-makers.
- Use AI-enabled tools for research, enrichment, sequencing, and monitoring buying signals so your attention stays on the most impactful opportunities.
- Serve as the first person prospects speak with, representing Gradient Labs as a credible and trusted adviser from the very first interaction.
- Build strong knowledge of the product, the financial services landscape, and emerging applications of AI in customer operations.
- Share high-quality insights from the field with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Product teams to improve targeting, messaging, and conversion performance.
- Develop core sales skills that support progression from BDR to high-performing AE, including discovery, objection handling, and stakeholder mapping.
What they are looking for
- Strong career drive and the ambition to grow into an excellent salesperson who communicates clearly both verbally and in writing.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to create structure and process rather than waiting for it.
- Curiosity about the AI space and financial services, with the ability to ask smart questions and listen carefully.
- Comfort using modern outbound channels such as phone, email, and LinkedIn, including a willingness to make calls.
- Hands-on experience with AI-supported sales workflows or prospecting tools such as Clay, Apollo, or Outreach for research, sequencing, or enrichment.
- A growth-oriented approach that welcomes feedback and uses each week as an opportunity to improve.
- A strong focus on outcomes, with an appetite to raise the standard for quota achievement, career progression, and team performance.
