Role overview
As a Sales Associate at Staples Canada in Bracebridge, Ontario, you will play a key role in creating a strong in-store experience. The position focuses on helping customers, driving sales across furniture, technology, and supplies, and making sure the store runs to brand and operational standards.
What you will do
- Provide friendly, effective service that improves customer satisfaction and helps build lasting engagement.
- Sell products in the furniture, technology, and supplies departments while working to grow sales results.
- Partner with store leaders to reach sales and margin targets.
- Support smooth store operations and maintain the company’s expected standards for the brand.
- Assist with merchandising activities, including signage, planograms, and product stocking.
- Follow Health & Safety rules, Asset Protection practices, and Privacy Policies at all times.
- Use the selling approach and available tools to identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
- Process transactions through the Point of Sale system, including shipping-related transactions and marketing tools that help convert sales.
- Manage difficult customer interactions calmly, resolve concerns where possible, and escalate to a manager or supervisor when needed.
- Keep the store tidy, safe, and ready for customers by dusting, front-facing merchandise, and checking that demo units are clean and working properly.
Requirements
- Previous retail experience of about 3 months to 1 year is preferred.
- Good customer service and communication abilities.
- Comfort working cooperatively in a team setting.
