About the role
Verizon is looking for a full-time Retail Sales Associate to join its store team in Bossier City, Louisiana. This position is focused on helping customers discover the right technology and services while contributing to store sales and overall business growth. You’ll work in a people-centered environment that values ideas, learning, collaboration, and community impact.
What you’ll do
- Drive retail revenue by using your interest in innovative technology and strong customer service to support Verizon’s growth.
- Identify customer needs by building rapport and asking thoughtful questions.
- Recommend products and solutions that create a complete and effective sales experience for each customer.
- Convert opportunities into sales through clear, confident communication and simple tech guidance.
- Keep building your skills through ongoing training and develop operational knowledge in merchandising and inventory.
- Reach out to existing Verizon customers by phone or text to promote products and services when appropriate.
- Represent Verizon at community events and other off-site activities to help grow the customer base.
Compensation
Base pay for this role ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $18,000 per year in individual commissions when sales goals are achieved. High performers may earn an additional $14,500 or more in commissions, which can bring total annual earnings to $65,000+ to $75,500+. Pay can vary based on location, hours worked, and performance. This is a commission-based role with upside for strong results.

What we’re looking for
- A high school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of relevant experience, gained through work history and/or military service
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with schedules provided four weeks in advance
- Willingness to take extra shifts during busy periods such as summer, November through December, and peak vacation seasons
- Sales experience in a commission-based setting is a plus
- Experience speaking with customers to recommend solutions is a plus
- Prior customer service experience is also preferred
Work arrangement
This is a worksite-based position, and the employee will work onsite at a designated location. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week.
