About the company

Dyson is an international technology company known for creating inventive products that challenge standard approaches and aim to perform better. The business is expanding quickly, and its plans for Germany include further growth across products, categories, and teams.

Role overview

In this retail data analytics role, you will examine, organize, and interpret sales, customer, and performance information. Your insights will help bring clarity to business performance, support day-to-day and strategic decisions, and contribute to stronger revenue, improved profitability, and a better customer experience.

What you'll do

  • Study retail, sales, and performance metrics such as sell-out, space productivity, promotions, and sell-in/sell-out trends.
  • Build and update dashboards, reports, and KPI structures for store, chain, and market reporting.
  • Carry out billing reviews and revenue assessments at chain level, including variance and performance checks.
  • Track Joint Business Plans and evaluate how well commercial and marketing agreements are working.
  • Analyze sell-out performance in specialty retail, including results by account and initiative.
  • Review payroll data to help verify payroll runs, including cost and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and improve a Top Door Tracker to highlight the most important and highest-performing stores.
  • Evaluate expert sales performance and compare results to identify leading practices.
  • Turn findings into practical recommendations for assortment, shelf placement, promotions, and staffing.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Work closely with Field Teams, Key Account Management, Marketing, Finance, and HR.
  • Maintain strong data quality, consistency, and transparency across reports.
  • Handle ad-hoc analyses to support leadership and strategic choices.

Candidate profile

You should hold a completed degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar discipline. The role calls for several years of experience in data analysis, preferably in retail, sales, or FMCG settings. A strong analytical mindset, comfort with numbers, and hands-on experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Excel are important. You should also be comfortable developing KPIs, visualizing data, and telling a clear story with data. The ideal candidate works in a structured, independent, and solution-focused way, communicates well, and can turn complex information into understandable insights. Very good written and spoken German and English are required.
