Position Overview

The Quality Inspector on 1st Shift is responsible for checking aircraft components visually and functionally throughout different stages of processing.

Key Duties

  • Carry out and record in-process, first article, receiving, and final inspections for aircraft parts and related processes.
  • Review planning documents, tool designs, blueprints, specifications, and quality procedures to create accurate and complete inspection records.
  • Set up and verify inspection tools and equipment before use.
  • Work closely with team members across departments to resolve quality-related matters.
  • Help operators understand quality requirements and inspection procedures.
  • Prepare and submit nonconformance reports to QA administrators when issues are identified.
  • Support internal audit activities as needed.
  • Contribute ideas for improving the quality management system.
  • Handle additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in masking or a similar role, with aerospace experience preferred.
  • Strong focus on detail, good hand coordination, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification is an added advantage.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and complete repetitive work.
