Education and experience
A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates may also qualify with at least 2 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
Core responsibilities
- Prepare accurate reports, presentations, and other timely business outputs.
- Compile, code, classify, calculate, audit, and validate operational data and records.
- Ensure sanitation compliance is maintained at all times.
- Support the Executive Chef with purchasing across food, beverage, and controllable items to protect quality and profitability.
- Place orders for food and beverage based on business demand.
- Help keep food and controllable costs within or below budget.
- Enforce first-in, first-out rotation for storeroom inventory.
- Maintain sanitation, safety, and brand-standard requirements in storage and handling.
- Protect food and beverage storeroom assets through proper safeguards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff, restaurant management, and vendors to align deliveries with production requirements.
- Check incoming invoices and shipments for quantity, quality, weight, and specification accuracy.
- Use computer systems to calculate daily and period-end food and beverage costs.
- Maintain inventory controls, including dating, rotation, requisitions, and minimum stock levels.
- Complete administrative work such as C-7s, menu costing, and general office tasks on time.
- Carry out period-end inventory as per Food and Beverage and Accounting SOPs.
- Calculate food and beverage inventory values.
- Escalate product pricing and availability concerns to the F&B Director and Executive Chef.
- Ensure all LSOPs are followed by the team.
- Receive and inspect all deliveries.
- Maintain accurate controllable logs and beverage perpetual records.
- Process invoices correctly and follow proper bookkeeping practices.
- Apply accounting knowledge to purchasing operations and use computer systems effectively for data entry and processing.
- Assess compliance with laws, regulations, and standards using sound judgment.
- Keep technical knowledge current and apply new learning on the job.
- Lead and influence others with strong communication, integrity, and financial judgment.
- Handle disciplinary matters promptly and consistently.
- Ensure performance reviews are completed on time for supervisors and non-management employees.

- Tour the property regularly to understand employee and guest needs and identify operational opportunities.
- Review leadership feedback and support corrective actions where needed.
- Implement sustainable workflows and systems that support strategy execution.
- Review reports and financial statements to measure performance against budget.
- Communicate departmental goals clearly to support the desired results.
- Provide responsive, professional customer service to guests and customers.
- Address guest concerns proactively and courteously.
- Ensure team members meet hospitality standards consistently.
- Support annual quality audits.
