Project Manager - QA/QC

Role Overview

This position calls for an experienced Project Manager in QA/QC to steer operations and support ongoing improvement across testing, inspection, and certification activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• An engineering qualification in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 15 years of background in oil and gas projects, covering both onshore and offshore environments.
• Strong hands-on exposure to quality assurance and quality control.
• Prior responsibility for managing and supervising procurement inspection work.

Key Duties

• Guide Team Leaders who handle the daily work of coordinators and inspectors.
• Serve as the primary contact for client teams across Quality, Procurement/Expediting, and Coordination, with responsibility for contract execution and updates on technical and delivery matters.
• Assign operational and technical activities to Team Leaders when suitable, while making sure ownership is clear and deadlines are met.
• Participate in critical Kick-Off Meetings, Pre-Inspection Meetings, and Progress Meetings, and route routine attendance to Team Leaders whenever practical.
• Track adherence to contract quality standards and commercial performance targets.
• Stay fully aware of client quality expectations and project specifications across all involved disciplines.
• Review and follow client schedule changes and project timeline updates.
• Offer managerial, technical, and administrative assistance to the team as required.
