Overview
Headcount Solutions is hiring a Project Director for a multinational client based in Dublin, with the role also referenced as Dublin/Cork based. This position is focused on leading the safe and effective delivery of major EPCMV projects within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, supporting the creation of facilities that contribute to life-saving medicines worldwide.
Role summary
The successful candidate will hold overall responsibility for project delivery, with accountability for safety, commercial results, timeline control, quality standards, and strong client management.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, large-scale EPCMV projects in the life sciences sector from early-stage setup through final handover.
- Promote and maintain a robust safety-first culture, ensuring full adherence to HSE rules, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee commercial activity, including contract management, invoicing, forecasting, and reporting on financial performance.
- Keep delivery aligned with agreed schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
- Develop and sustain trusted client relationships through clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Manage quality records, compliance obligations, and validation-related requirements.
- Coordinate and guide subcontractor teams working across multiple disciplines.
- Use effective project controls to track progress, manage risks, and measure overall performance.
- Support bid and proposal activity, including tender reviews and strategic pursuit work.
Key skills and experience
The role calls for deep experience in delivering life sciences projects, strong project and construction management capability, solid HSE leadership, strong project controls knowledge, and the ability to work across different contract structures. You should also be confident managing subcontractors and engaging effectively with clients.
Qualifications
