Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Production Assistant role in Indianapolis, Indiana supports the production department across pre-production, production, and post-production work. The position helps keep projects moving efficiently while upholding strong quality and accuracy standards. It is suited to someone who is organized, detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable handling several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Production Support
- Provide administrative and logistical support for a range of productions and projects.
- Help coordinate pre-production, production, and post-production tasks so work stays on schedule.
- Partner with producers, editors, and hosts to keep workflows moving smoothly from idea stage through final delivery.
Script and Recording Support
- Prepare finalized scripts and pronunciation references.
- Format scripts for teleprompter use.
- Operate the teleprompter during recordings when required.
- Assist with recording sessions and verify that production materials are accurate and ready.
Asset and Workflow Management
- Keep production files and creative assets organized and up to date.
- Upload content and carry out quality assurance checks as needed.
- Maintain clear documentation and organized systems across projects.
- Support the transfer of assets through production workflows.
Team and Advocacy Support
- Work with production colleagues across teams to help deliver content successfully.
- Support initiatives tied to the company’s advocacy work and storytelling mission.
- Help foster a constructive, collaborative, and solution-oriented team environment.

- Production materials are accurate, orderly, and delivered on time.
- Workflows continue with little supervision.
- Multiple priorities are handled efficiently without lowering quality.
- Scripts, assets, and production documents are reviewed carefully and remain error-free.
- Quality checks are completed consistently and correctly.
- Strong working relationships are developed with producers, editors, hosts, and other teams.
- Communication remains clear, proactive, and focused on solutions.
- Production needs are identified early and addressed before they escalate.
- Deadlines and commitments are met reliably.
Required Skills and Experience
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable collaborating with different stakeholders.
- Experience using Google Workspace.
- Good problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset.
- Interest in storytelling and responsible, ethical true crime content.
Preferred Background
- Experience using audio and video editing tools.
- Familiarity with production software and platforms.
- Prior work in production, broadcasting, podcasting, or media.
