About Gallagher

Gallagher exists to protect what matters most. The company supports highly secure environments as well as agricultural businesses, with a strong commitment to its people, their families, and the wider community.

Gallagher Security is in a major growth phase, with innovation and customer outcomes at the centre of its strategy. The business operates across New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Africa, the USA, Canada, and Europe, and its products are exported to more than 140 countries. This role offers the opportunity to join a New Zealand-based team contributing to a globally recognised tech success story.

Within the High Security division, the team develops secure solutions for government and critical national infrastructure customers around the world. This is a fast-growing part of the security portfolio, and the role is well suited to someone who wants their work to have real impact.

About the role

Gallagher is seeking a Product Analyst to join the High Security team. The role focuses on transforming product, pricing, and performance information into practical guidance that supports better decisions. You will work closely with the Product Manager and colleagues in engineering, operations, marketing, and sales to help keep the product portfolio strong, efficient, and customer focused.

This position combines analysis, coordination, and continuous improvement. You will contribute to reporting, pricing reviews, product documentation, business case assessment, and lifecycle data management, helping ensure that decisions are backed by accurate information and well-managed processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Study product performance, trends, and opportunities across the High Security portfolio, then turn findings into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Assist with pricing analysis, initial price setting, and ongoing pricing reviews.
  • Keep performance dashboards, reporting, and business case records current and improved.
  • Coordinate product lifecycle tasks such as part creation and updates, product hierarchy maintenance, and support for third-party product ranges.
  • Oversee the review process for product documents, website content, and catalogue information, and suggest improvements with technical and marketing partners.
  • Support RDTI compliance work, including High Security Value Stream reporting, audit preparation, and timesheet upkeep.

What you will bring

You should be someone who enjoys working with data, identifying the meaning behind it, and translating complex information into practical advice. Curiosity, organisation, adaptability, and comfort working across teams will help you succeed in this role.

  • A qualification in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a similar discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in product, business, or market analysis, preferably in technology, security, or manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience using both quantitative and qualitative research to support decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical and operational tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SAP, along with interest in using AI tools to improve performance.
  • Well-developed communication and documentation skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience building effective relationships across cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, operations, marketing, and commercial groups.

Security requirements

This position requires you to gain and maintain security clearance at a minimum Confidential level. To qualify for that clearance, you must be an NZ permanent resident and have lived continuously in New Zealand or one of the Five Eyes countries (New Zealand, USA, UK, Canada, Australia) for the last 5 years.

Working at Gallagher

You will be joining a global, forward-looking organisation that values creativity, innovation, craftsmanship, collaboration, passion, and mutual respect. The environment is designed to support people who want to contribute meaningful work and help bring ambitious ideas to life.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus bonus.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, plus extra on-site days when work demands it.
  • KiwiSaver on top, along with life and disability insurance.
  • Mentoring and professional development opportunities.
  • A supportive team culture with team-building events, creative inspiration trips, and an enjoyable work environment.

Application process

Applications are considered as they are received, and the role may be filled before the closing date, so early interest is encouraged.
