Job Overview
The Procurement Specialist will oversee day-to-day purchasing activities, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and support cost-effective sourcing while following company procedures and procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders on a daily basis and make sure all approvals, procurement rules, and contract terms are followed.
- Prepare and manage RFQs and RFPs, review bids, and communicate with suppliers during the full procurement cycle.
- Discuss and agree on pricing, delivery timelines, and payment conditions to support cost control and operational needs.
- Support vendor selection by comparing bids and preparing award recommendations.
- Release purchase awards and keep the process clear, traceable, and properly documented.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure purchasing work supports business priorities, required timelines, and savings goals.
- Keep procurement records, reports, and supporting documents accurate and up to date.
Requirements
- A university degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a comparable procurement role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer proficiency, with advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Solid understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- Well-organized with strong planning and coordination abilities.
- Self-driven, quick to learn, and able to work proactively.
- English fluency is required; Arabic is preferred.
