About the Company
This Singapore-based organisation is a major integrated provider of underground utilities infrastructure. Its work covers construction and maintenance of underground utilities, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield works, asphalt pre-mix production, and recycling of construction waste.
Role Overview
The Procurement Executive will handle the full procurement cycle, from identifying sources and buying materials to evaluating suppliers and coordinating deliveries. The role is focused on supporting day-to-day business needs by securing materials, equipment, and services on time, at the right quality, and at competitive pricing. You will partner with internal teams and external vendors, help track supplier performance, and contribute to procurement initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day sourcing and purchasing for equipment, spare parts, goods, and services.
- Manage procurement workflows such as requisitions, purchase orders, delivery follow-ups, and shipment timing.
- Identify, negotiate with, and purchase from local and overseas suppliers based on business needs.
- Review vendor quotations and check that they meet technical, commercial, and budget requirements.
- Support smooth and efficient purchasing operations with timely execution.
- Work through vendor-related issues involving supply, quality, service, delivery, and invoicing to avoid disruptions.
- Keep procurement documentation accurate and update internal systems with order and supplier information.
- Research market conditions to track price changes, supplier options, and savings opportunities.
- Assess supplier performance on quality, pricing, delivery, and service standards.
- Support ISO-related annual vendor reviews and compliance activities.
- Help implement procurement measures for urgent schedules and short lead-time requirements.
- Prepare reports and presentation materials for management meetings held every two months.
- Handle any additional duties assigned by the supervisor or Head of Department.
Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or another relevant field; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is also noted.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in construction or engineering.
- Working knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work on your own and also contribute effectively in a team.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable performing under pressure in a busy, fast-moving environment.
Work Details
This is a full-time, onsite position in Singapore. The work schedule follows a 5-day work week. The office is located at No. 3 Sungei Kadut Drive, Singapore 729556, in North Singapore. The listing closes on 22 Jul 2026.
