Role Overview

This is an on-site presales role focused on infrastructure, virtualization, and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI). The position reports to the Associate Director and is suited to professionals who enjoy a fast-paced, high-performance environment where they can solve complex customer problems and contribute to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess customer infrastructure needs and design practical, cost-efficient service and solution proposals.
  • Handle solution and service design across infrastructure components, including transition and transformation of technology and services.
  • Stay current on virtualization platforms and participate in hands-on implementation work when required.
  • Recommend, architect, and implement service solutions that improve infrastructure outcomes.
  • Prepare solution documents, effort estimates, and pricing inputs.
  • Work closely with sales, delivery teams, and partner managers to create complete customer solutions.
  • Develop and present transformational service offerings, identify business triggers, and highlight infrastructure issues that affect customer operations.
  • Prepare business cases and provide sound technical and commercial guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Study the competition and shape winning sales approaches, often jointly with partners.
  • Support RFQ, RFI, RFP, proposal, and statement-of-work activities.
  • Create and maintain written procedures and best practices for pre-sales and post-sales service delivery.
  • Deliver technical briefings and presentations to senior executives.
  • Support business development and account teams with relevant sales collateral, pricing, and response materials.
  • Contribute to customer acquisition, conversion, and retention goals.
  • Offer project guidance for major initiatives in data protection, storage, virtualization, and consolidation.
  • Design, develop, and deploy innovative storage and data management solutions.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities across simultaneous client assignments.
  • Share product feedback with internal product teams based on customer needs.
  • Document best practices for designing and deploying solutions.
  • Serve as a front-line technical point of contact for best-practice and informal customer queries.
  • Provide support across pre-sales consulting and post-sales deployment through technical product knowledge.
  • Join customer meetings, deliver presentations, and help build strong technical relationships in assigned accounts.
  • Resolve technical product issues and partner with field teams to support revenue and divisional goals.
  • Track technology trends and competitive developments, then report insights to management.
  • Increase product awareness among existing customers through future-product and technology presentations.
  • Assist in technical and product training for sales and account management teams.
