About the Role

This position is suited to someone who can operate in a highly secure, business-critical environment and support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services that underpin digital trust operations.

PKI Operations

  • Carry out the day-to-day administration and support of the PKI environment.
  • Oversee the core PKI services and the trust infrastructure that supports them.
  • Handle certificate lifecycle tasks such as issuance, renewal, suspension, revocation, and status updates.
  • Work strictly within approved operating procedures, certificate policy rules, and governance standards.
  • Keep operational records and maintain evidence that supports audits and reviews.

HSM and Key Management

  • Assist with Hardware Security Module (HSM) operations and key administration activities.
  • Take part in controlled key ceremonies and other sensitive operational tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and coordinate with internal teams and technology partners when needed.

Monitoring and Operational Support

  • Track system health, application logs, and service uptime.
  • Spot operational problems and escalate exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain documentation that is ready for audit, and support backup, recovery, and resilience testing.

Change and Incident Management

  • Support the rollout and testing of approved platform changes.
  • Help with upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and ongoing improvements.
  • Participate in incident analysis and corrective actions.
  • Escalate operational and security risks appropriately.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with infrastructure, security, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Support operational readiness, audit obligations, and secure certificate issuance workflows.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, DevOps, cybersecurity operations, or application support.
  • Working knowledge of PKI concepts, digital certificates, and certificate lifecycle management.
  • Prior exposure to Certificate Authorities or trust services is beneficial, though not essential.
  • Familiarity with security operations such as access control, monitoring, logging, backups, incident handling, and change control.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux or Windows environments, monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and operational procedures.
  • Exposure to HSMs, certificate management platforms, or trust infrastructure tools is an added advantage.
  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in infrastructure, cloud, security, or similar technologies will be an advantage.
