Descripción del trabajo

About the role

This position follows a fixed weekly pattern: Sunday 09:00–17:00, Monday to Wednesday 10:30–19:00, and Thursday 09:30–19:00. You’ll support customers across different parts of the store, so the work changes from day to day. Tasks may include replenishing shelves, operating tills, checking stock levels, or picking orders for delivery. The main aim is to make sure customers receive what they need quickly, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The right person will bring a positive, hands-on attitude, a strong focus on service, and a willingness to go beyond the basics for customers.

Key responsibilities

You will handle accurate order picking and despatch using a handheld terminal, and you must alert the manager if anything does not match.

You will check product condition, shelf life, and packaging strength before items are prepared for delivery.

You will maintain a high level of customer service while processing deliveries promptly and meeting target requirements.

You will also deal courteously with delivery staff and respond appropriately to questions or complaints, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate person.

What you need

You should be comfortable working to agreed picking targets and maintaining a can-do approach throughout the day.

You need to care about customer service and be ready to put in the extra effort to support shoppers.

You must be reliable, punctual, and presented appropriately at all times.
