This position is assigned to third shift in the United States.
Job overview
The Packing Auditor reviews packing work to confirm quality and compliance. The role also involves packing and wrapping containers, then banding and tying products and materials so they are ready for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Review packing orders to verify they are complete and match the packing list.
- Check materials for cleanliness and quality before packaging, and inspect parts to identify and replace damaged items.
- Coordinate touch-up painting for parts when needed.
- Make sure orders are packed according to shipping timelines.
- Prepare all required records, including taking photos of contents and saving documentation electronically.
- Guide others and share feedback when order discrepancies are found.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by management.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Two years of packing experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and related computer applications.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to handle hand tools that require dexterity.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to interpret a blueprint.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with factory supervision.
Work environment and physical requirements
- Must be able to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand 75% of the time, walk 20% of the time, and stoop, kneel, or crouch 5% of the time as needed.
- Ability to climb portable ladders is required.
- Safety glasses and foot protection must be worn throughout the shift.
- Hearing protection, such as ear plugs, must be worn during the shift in a moderately noisy environment.
