Role overview
This position is for an Operations & Maintenance Incharge focused on electrical and mechanical systems at the Prayagraj location. The role calls for a seasoned professional with strong hands-on experience in maintaining utilities, equipment, and site operations while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
Eligibility and experience
Applicants should meet one of the following qualification and experience combinations: a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4 to 13 years of relevant experience, or a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 4 to 10 years of experience.
Mechanical operations & maintenance
The role requires practical expertise in operating and maintaining mechanical equipment. Experience should include O&M of pumps of various capacities, vertical turbine pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, and pipeline networks. The candidate should be comfortable with preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance practices, along with coordination of utility operations and related business support activities.
Additional exposure in this stream includes auditing water and wastewater treatment plants, handling water/sewer line commissioning, and managing operation and maintenance work to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.
Electrical operations & maintenance
For the electrical side of the role, the candidate should bring experience in maintaining transformers, HT and LT motors, HT and LT switchgears, capacitors, and related equipment. Familiarity with single line diagrams and protection systems is required, along with direct experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of DG sets.
Site management and compliance
The position also involves implementing and monitoring computerized maintenance management systems, enforcing SOPs at the site, and ensuring adherence to EHS and quality documentation and procedures. The candidate should be able to support statutory compliance requirements, especially those related to the electrical inspectorate.
Other responsibilities include preparing and executing monsoon readiness activities as a preventive measure, managing subcontractors and vendor relationships, handling supply agreements, purchase orders, and amendments, and monitoring KPIs to meet operational targets.
Customer and team coordination
The incumbent should be capable of maintaining strong customer relationships, communicating effectively, and managing manpower in coordination with site needs. The role also expects a service-oriented mindset, efficient system operation, and the ability to support tender-related work and business development efforts.
