  • Create and maintain clear records of network layouts, settings, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for support, upkeep, and purchasing needs.
  • Guide and support junior colleagues with technical direction when needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a similar discipline is expected; equivalent practical experience may also be accepted.
  • At least 6 years of practical experience in designing, implementing, and administering network infrastructure.
  • Hands-on exposure to enterprise networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
  • Solid understanding of core networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, MPLS, and QoS.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, or similar are preferred.
  • Experience using monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and PRTG.
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking in AWS and Azure, plus hybrid infrastructure setups.
  • Exposure to SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and data centre environments including VMware NSX, Hyper-V, and ESXi.
  • Ability to use scripting or automation tools such as Python and Ansible is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills are required.
