Module Lead - Demo 3D

Role Overview

This position is part of an Engineering Application Development team that works across the United States, the Netherlands, and Vietnam. The group supports, maintains, and enhances specialized mechanical and electrical engineering software used within the customer’s organization. The applications include CAD and related design tools such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit, Demo3D/Emulate3D, and others. In this role, you will help improve the tools that influence how engineering projects are delivered and how efficiently the business operates.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and support software add-ins for Demo3D/Emulate3D, AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit using C# .NET, VB .NET, and VBA.
• Develop user-friendly front-end interfaces that are responsive and easy to use.
• Maintain reliable back-end code with attention to scalability, security, and performance.
• Work with multiple data sources, including SQL databases, flat text files, and Excel files.
• Convert engineering information into programmable business and engineering rules that improve application capability.
• Design, build, and maintain complex relational SQL tables to keep data flowing smoothly between systems.
• Prepare Autodesk Vault API integrations for communication with SQL tables and ERP systems when needed.
• Assist users and resolve ongoing support issues.
• Partner with a compact, cross-functional team of mechanical and software engineers spread across the United States, the Netherlands, and Vietnam.
• Coordinate with the product owner and business stakeholders to refine solutions and ensure development stays aligned with business goals.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, code, and functionality, while anticipating potential issues early.
• Create developer-facing documentation and support the preparation of user documentation with the Engineering Support Office.

Required Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a technical or software-focused environment.
• Genuine interest in both engineering and software development.
