What Makes This Opportunity Attractive

  • This is a fully remote position.
  • The role offers a competitive hourly rate.
  • You can choose a schedule that fits your availability.
  • You’ll join a collaborative, ambitious, and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Admissions Coaches to review each student’s progress and establish milestones for a customized application plan.
  • Hold individual Zoom advising sessions with assigned students and give guidance tailored to their background and goals.
  • Manage a group of medical school applicants carefully and consistently.
  • Support at least five applicants in each application cycle.
  • Research admissions topics, resources, and answers to student questions as needed to strengthen advising sessions.
  • Offer strategic, forward-looking guidance that reflects current medical school admissions expectations.
  • Help students prepare for interviews by running mock interview practice and offering feedback.
  • Join regular meetings with Admissions Coaches to stay aligned on student progress and provide group-informed evaluations of application materials.
  • Take part in meetings with the broader graduate admissions coaching cohort, guided by a Lead Coach mentor.
  • Keep the Program Director and Director of Client Success updated on student progress through clear and detailed communication.

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduation from a highly ranked undergraduate institution, such as a top 50 university or top 20 liberal arts college.
  • Current enrollment in, or graduation from, a U.S. medical school.
  • Strong command of the U.S. medical school admissions process, including AMCAS/AACOMAS, secondary applications, MCAT preparation, interview styles such as MMI, and holistic review.
  • Medical school admissions experience at an accredited U.S. medical school is preferred; however, applicants with substantial experience in pre-med advising, medical education, or health professions advising may also be considered.
  • Knowledge of the wider U.S. undergraduate and medical education landscape, including pre-med advising and pipeline programs.
  • Ability to guide several students through the full admissions cycle, from early planning to interviews and final decisions.
  • Availability after school hours and on weekends, with enough flexibility to work across international time zones during busy admissions periods.
  • Strong organization and careful attention to deadlines, submissions, and application details.
  • Excellent writing and people skills, especially for giving constructive feedback on personal statements, activity descriptions, and secondary essays.
