Role overview

The Manufacturing Manager will lead everyday plant operations, guide production planning, manage manpower, uphold quality requirements, and make sure manufacturing work is completed on schedule. Acting as the deputy to the Factory Manager, this position will help keep factory activities running smoothly while contributing to business expansion, added capacity, and continuous improvement efforts.

Production operations

  • Keep daily output on track against the agreed production plan.
  • Oversee manufacturing activity for Link Boxes, Clamps, Cleats, and other cable accessory products.
  • Work in close coordination with Production, Quality, Stores, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Reduce downtime on the shop floor and make effective use of machines and manpower.
  • Maintain accurate production logs, records, and reports.

Production planning and control

  • Support the preparation of weekly and monthly production schedules.
  • Track work orders and ensure they are finished within the required timeline.
  • Monitor stock and material readiness, coordinating with Stores and Purchase as needed.
  • Spot operational bottlenecks and drive corrective actions to improve output.

Manpower management

  • Supervise shop-floor staff and allocate people and resources efficiently.
  • Track attendance, discipline, and overall productivity of factory employees.
  • Run daily production review meetings and communicate operational priorities clearly.
  • Assist in training and capability building for workers and machine operators.

Quality management

  • Ensure work is carried out in line with approved quality standards and inspection methods.
  • Partner with the Quality team to lower rejection and rework levels.
  • Drive corrective and preventive measures to address quality concerns.

Safety and compliance

  • Make sure operations follow safety rules, factory regulations, and all statutory obligations.
  • Carry out regular safety checks and toolbox talks.
  • Encourage safe working habits and maintain good housekeeping across the plant.
