Overview
This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle applications and all follow-up steps. The hiring company is seeking a Manual QA Engineer (Web, CRM) located in Germany.
You will join a fast-growing product team where quality is central to the user experience across customer-facing web products and internal business systems. In this role, you will help safeguard functionality, stability, and performance while also contributing early in the development process through collaboration with product and engineering teams. The environment emphasizes ownership, continuous improvement, and modern testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business and technical requirements and turn them into clear, complete test scenarios and test cases for new features.
- Carry out manual testing for web applications, internal CRM tools, email campaigns, and push notification flows.
- Run functional, regression, smoke, usability, and UI/UX checks to verify product behavior and consistency.
- Check API behavior with tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar solutions using both expected and edge-case scenarios.
- Use browser developer tools to inspect logs, network traffic, console issues, and application behavior.
- Log, classify, prioritize, and communicate defects with step-by-step reproduction details and supporting proof.
- Take part in sprint planning, quality reviews, and risk discussions throughout development.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve testing workflows, documentation quality, and overall standards.
- Provide feedback that helps improve usability, reliability, and the end-user experience of the product.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in manual QA for web-based products.
- Hands-on exposure to CRM systems, email marketing campaigns, and customer communication workflows.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, testing approaches, and test design methods.
- Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to write test cases, test plans, and detailed bug reports using Jira or another test management tool.
- Experience working with databases such as MongoDB, BigQuery, DataGrip, or similar tools.
- Basic familiarity with Git workflows, version control operations, and code review practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and exposure to platforms such as GitLab.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and debugging tools such as Grafana, Lens, Charles Proxy, or Fiddler.
- Strong analytical skills, careful attention to detail, and effective problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills for working across functions.
- Experience with test automation or automating repetitive QA tasks is an added advantage.
