Role Overview
Uber Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Manager, Strategy & Planning in New York, New York for a full-time position. The role centers on shaping planning and strategy for the US&C Uber Eats business, with the possibility of telecommuting.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual pay range for this position is $160,100 to $192,120. In addition to base pay, the role may include participation in Uber’s bonus program, other forms of compensation, and access to a broader benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
This position is responsible for driving the strategic planning cycle for the US&C Uber Eats business, including annual and quarterly planning, goal-setting such as OKRs, and business performance reviews.
The manager will build and use analytical and strategic models to evaluate market shifts, competitive activity, and internal business performance in order to surface opportunities and risks.
The role also involves advising senior leaders and cross-functional partners on strategic priorities, investment choices, and business tradeoffs.
Insights from the market and the business will need to be converted into longer-term plans, product direction, and resource allocation decisions.
Additional work includes assessing new growth opportunities, partnerships, and operational enhancements through strategic analysis, as well as maintaining roadmaps with prioritized initiatives, success measures, and KPI tracking that supports decision-making.
Eligibility and Experience
The employer will consider candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, Business Operations, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline, along with 3 years of experience in the same role or a related one.
Required Capabilities
The position calls for strong ability in data analysis, financial modeling, and performance tracking using SQL, along with experience improving product features to raise user onboarding conversion.
Successful candidates should also be effective communicators and storytellers who can influence stakeholders and make complex issues easier to understand.
Applicants should be comfortable using data to generate practical recommendations, weighing strategic options and ROI tradeoffs, and leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing.
