Role overview

Schimmelchirurg GmbH is looking for a specialist in leak detection to identify water and moisture damage in residential and commercial properties with a professional, methodical approach. The role is based in Berlin and involves field assignments across the Berlin area.

What you will do

You will carry out on-site measurements using modern locating and testing equipment, assess damage patterns, record your findings accurately, and prepare clear damage reports for customers, insurers, and partner companies. You will also evaluate the situation at the property, advise clients on the next sensible steps, and coordinate closely with colleagues from remediation and technical teams.

Qualifications

• A completed vocational qualification in a technical or skilled trade field, such as HVAC, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, construction, or electrical engineering, or comparable experience in construction or remediation.
• Preferably some initial hands-on experience in leak detection, structural drying, damage assessment, or building diagnostics, along with confident use of measurement and inspection tools.
• Good German language skills, both spoken and written, so you can communicate clearly with customers and produce accurate logs and reports.
• An independent, precise, and solution-focused working style, plus reliability and enjoyment of direct customer interaction.
• Category B driving licence and willingness to work in the field across the greater Berlin area, with a strong service mindset and team spirit.
