Laundry Attendant

Role Overview

Sunray Companies is hiring a dependable, energetic, guest-oriented team member for the laundry area at Hampton Inn & Suites in Hammond, Louisiana. This position suits someone who is flexible, honest, friendly, and detail-focused. Because the hotel operates around the clock, the schedule may include evenings, nights, and weekends. Previous laundry experience is welcomed but not mandatory.

The role supports the hotel’s cleanliness and day-to-day operations by handling laundry and related housekeeping duties that help keep guests satisfied. The company’s guiding value is to improve the lives of one another.

Key Duties

• Keep guest corridors, lobbies, staircases, elevators, and rooms clean and presentable.
• Plan work using room-status information, including arrivals and departures.
• Move linens, towels, and room amenities by hand or with wheeled carts.
• Replenish guest-room supplies such as glasses, soap, shampoo, and writing materials.
• Swap out soiled linens for fresh ones.
• Check mattresses and rotate them on a regular basis.
• Handle and store dirty laundry according to company procedures.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with cleaning and sanitation routines, understand how to care for delicate materials, and know how to use standard cleaning equipment. The job also requires physical stamina, including the ability to reach, kneel, bend, and move items weighing around 30 lbs.

Education and Job Fit

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Housekeeping experience is also preferred, though not essential. Applicants should be prepared for a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends.
