Role overview

The Kitchen Stewarding Associate is responsible for keeping all culinary back-of-house spaces clean, sanitary, and running efficiently. Working within Rosewood AMAALA’s Relationship Hospitality approach, the role helps ensure that ultra-luxury dining service is supported by spotless work areas and reliable operational support.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and stewarding storage spaces clean and properly sanitized.
  • Carry out dishwashing, pot washing, and related cleaning tasks consistently and correctly.
  • Support chefs and kitchen colleagues by making sure clean equipment is always available during service.
  • Collect, separate, and dispose of waste in accordance with environmental and sustainability guidelines.
  • Comply fully with HACCP requirements and the property’s food safety standards.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and ensure they are stored in the proper manner.
  • Update hygiene records, cleaning timetables, and checklists whenever required.
  • Help with pest-control measures and support cleanliness inspections and audits.
  • Handle kitchen tools and stewarding equipment carefully, including correct storage and upkeep.
  • Escalate any equipment damage or maintenance concerns to the supervisor without delay.
  • Assist with inventory checks for cleaning products and stewarding supplies.
  • Contribute to waste-reduction efforts, including recycling and reducing food waste.
  • Follow sustainability practices that align with AMAALA’s environmental objectives.
  • Coordinate with Culinary and F&B teams to keep kitchen operations flowing smoothly.
