Role Summary

This position supports day-to-day accounting operations by keeping financial records accurate, helping with reporting, and working in line with accounting policies, standards, and internal procedures under supervision.

What You Will Do

• Handle routine bookkeeping tasks, such as entering invoices, expenses, journal entries, and accruals, while keeping the general ledger accurate.
• Track project costs, maintain cost codes, and compare budgeted amounts against actual spending with guidance.
• Post project revenue, IPCs, variations, and customer invoices using approved supporting documents.
• Process subcontractor and supplier accounts, including advances, retentions, and final settlement monitoring.
• Support general ledger updates and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Help manage accounts payable and receivable, invoice payments, and follow-ups on overdue balances.
• Prepare journal vouchers and complete reconciliations for bank, supplier, and customer accounts, highlighting any mismatches.
• Assist with project accounting tasks, including expense allocation and checking subcontractor claims and supplier invoices for correctness.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing work, as well as the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Support internal and external audits by organizing schedules and supplying requested documents.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• An accounting certification is preferred.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a contracting or construction environment.
• Comfort using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Working awareness of UAE VAT rules and local regulatory requirements.
• Careful attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a live project setting.
