General Labourer / Yard Coordinator

About the Role

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a dependable, customer-focused person to support yard operations and equipment handling at its Greater Sudbury location. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys teamwork, working outdoors, and keeping operations running smoothly.

What You Will Do

• Clean and wash equipment after use.
• Arrange and keep equipment organized in the yard.
• Help maintain tidy and orderly site facilities.
• Support the loading and unloading of equipment.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, document any issues, and prepare service tags for items coming back.
• Assist with deliveries and pickups of small tools or parts when required.
• Work cooperatively with teammates and be ready to step in where help is needed.

What We Are Looking For

• Applicants must currently live in Canada and be legally allowed to work.
• A valid Class G driver’s licence is required, along with a clean or acceptable driving abstract showing no more than 3 demerit points; an updated abstract may need to be provided on request.
• You should be self-motivated, service-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• The role requires someone who can handle a busy pace and meet tight deadlines.
• Comfort using computers is important.
• You must be able to lift around 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification is considered an advantage.
• Mechanical ability is also an asset.
• Comfort working outdoors is necessary.
• Strong troubleshooting skills are needed.
• You should communicate clearly and professionally in both spoken and written form with coworkers, customers, and others.
• A strong sense of pride in your work is expected.
