Role Overview
Join Emirates Flight Catering in Dubai as an F&B Manager responsible for overseeing food and beverage operations across airport lounges and outlets. The position calls for a hands-on hospitality professional who can maintain premium service standards, guide teams effectively, and contribute to operational excellence in a large-scale aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Make sure all lounge and outlet activities follow the company’s safety management system, HACCP guidelines, hygiene standards, and relevant government regulations so that staff, contractors, suppliers, and guests work in a safe environment.
- Assess staffing needs based on lounge requirements and work with the Talent Acquisition team to support the recruitment process.
- Plan and strengthen learning needs across the department, including onboarding and the training calendar, while also supporting performance reviews to improve capability and results.
- Prepare the yearly CAPEX plan with supporting rationale, track staff-related costs such as overtime and unplanned absences, and monitor lounge profitability while identifying practical improvements and corrective actions.
- Work closely with the Production Department on menu rollouts, food presentation, and other kitchen-related matters to ensure consistently high food quality.
- Develop new menus for the Mezzaine outlet and events, in coordination with Production, within approved budgets; also recommend pricing, refresh menus regularly, and introduce new items to support sales growth.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints regarding food quality or service quickly and take immediate corrective action where required.
- Coordinate with Central Purchasing to source equipment such as glassware and tableware, as well as outlet materials, and liaise with stores for food and other items already available in inventory.
- Follow the Quality Policy and Quality System aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards and carry out duties according to department procedures while upholding EKFC quality expectations.
- Develop and implement new food and beverage beverage concepts in line with current market trends in areas under your responsibility.
- Manage F&B teams and operations across airport lounges and outlets.
- Maintain strong passenger experience and service consistency.
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline staff and supervisors.
- Support efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance across operations.
- Contribute to new openings, service enhancement initiatives, and operational projects.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel management, or another relevant field is required. The ideal candidate should bring at least 7 years of experience in the hospitality sector, including 2 to 3 years in a managerial role within a 5-star setting. Prior exposure to luxury hotels and standalone restaurant operations is important, along with a solid understanding of food safety rules, hygiene procedures, food quality standards, and cost control.
Skills and Competencies
Strong spoken and written English is essential, and Arabic is an advantage. The role also requires leadership ability, initiative, adaptability, a sharp eye for improvement opportunities, and the capacity to create personalized food and beverage experiences. You should be able to collaborate across teams, manage conflict constructively, respond to customer concerns, anticipate guest needs, work efficiently under pressure, stay organized, and keep accurate records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also needed.
