Role overview

Nando’s PERi-PERi North America is hiring expeditors for its Gainesville, VA location. Both part-time and full-time hours are available. This role offers a lively, supportive work environment for people who are starting out in hospitality or looking for additional income.

What the expeditor does

The expeditor connects the kitchen with the guest experience. You will help make sure orders are finished promptly, meet Nando’s quality standards, and are delivered to the correct customer. The role also includes preparing and packing takeaway orders and serving as the last point of contact for those guests. The position calls for strong organization, speed, professionalism, courtesy, and dependability.

Expeditors support the team in creating a smooth, welcoming service experience and helping the restaurant exceed guest expectations.

Minimum expectations

• Comfort taking direction and working collaboratively with others.
• Ability to stay composed and effective when things get busy.
• Strong focus on quality service along with food and beverage awareness.
• Working knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food-handling practices.
• Basic English communication skills in a professional setting.

Physical demands

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs independently for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs while carrying food and dishes during the shift.
• Availability to be on your feet for 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Regular use of reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping.
• Ability to push and pull as needed.
• Capable of lifting items overhead.
• Must be comfortable climbing stairs in multi-level restaurant locations.
