Environmental Analyst

About the Role

ERG is a research and consulting organization that supports federal, state, and commercial customers through multidisciplinary expertise in engineering, science, economics, public health, information technology, and communications. The company is looking for an early-career environmental analyst who is eager to contribute to public-sector projects in a fast-moving setting and can bring strong initiative, creativity, and close attention to detail.

The main project areas for this position center on clean transportation and circular economy work.

What You’ll Do

• Create audience-focused communications materials and related content.
• Connect with stakeholders through interviews, focus groups, and similar meetings.
• Handle event planning details and support both virtual and in-person meetings end to end.
• Perform research, interpret data, draft case studies and reports, and share findings.
• Assist with grant programs by answering applicant inquiries, reviewing submissions, carrying out site inspections, and preparing outreach materials.

What We’re Looking For

• 0–2 years of relevant professional experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, environmental science, environmental policy, or a closely related discipline.
• Someone who works well on their own and also collaborates effectively in person and remotely.
• Strong planning and prioritization skills for managing several deadlines at once.
• Excellent writing ability, including the skill to translate technical ideas for non-technical readers.
• Experience creating content for varied audiences and formats, including print, web, and social channels.
• A comfort level with a dynamic, quick-paced workplace.
