Purpose

The Document Verification Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of travel documents for all flights, particularly those involving MOUs and high-risk categories. This role is crucial in preventing significant financial penalties and infringements from immigration authorities, while also ensuring a smooth travel experience for guests. The officer will deliver exceptional guest service, maintain safe and professional guest handling, and contribute to operational excellence in accordance with UAE laws and company procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety, security, and guest convenience.

Accountabilities

  • Assess and verify travel documents for guests on all flights covered under MOU & High-risk categories, ensuring regulatory compliance and identifying fraudulent documents to prevent illegal immigration.
  • Identify emerging trends in fraudulent document activities and practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports with supporting facts and justifications to aid in immigration appeals and the revocation of company penalties.
  • Support the operations team and local authorities in managing cases of inadmissible guests, considering the sensitivity and regulatory requirements of each situation.
  • Brief the operations team on incidents and breaches related to guest document verification.
  • Generate offloading reports for guests removed from flights and submit them to the relevant local authorities.

Education & Experience

  • Secondary level education is required, supplemented by additional qualifications in Document Verification or Aviation Security.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Document Verification and Immigration Compliance is necessary.
  • At least one year of experience in airport operations at a major international airport is also required.
